DearSpeeches

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of dearspeeches.com, including the speech writer, teleprompter, guides, and related pages (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The Service

DearSpeeches provides guided prompts, AI-assisted speech drafts, practice tools, and educational guides. Drafts are starting points. You are responsible for editing them so they are true, appropriate for the wedding, and fair to the couple and guests.

Guides are for inspiration and general information. They are not legal advice, and they do not replace your judgment about what is kind to say in the room.

Your content

You keep ownership of the stories, names, and speeches you write. You give us a limited license to process that material so we can generate drafts, save progress on your device, and operate the Service.

Do not submit content that is illegal, that you do not have the right to share, or that is intended to harm someone. We may refuse or remove material that violates these terms.

AI drafts

Generated speeches are produced with automated tools based on what you type. They may be imperfect, generic, or factually off. Review every line before you say it. We do not guarantee laughs, tears, or any particular reaction from the room.

Acceptable use

Payments and refunds

Some features may require payment, processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout. Unless a listing says otherwise, a purchase is a one-time unlock for the speech tools described at the time of sale.

If you paid and the draft does not feel right, email hello@dearspeeches.com. We will rewrite with you, or refund you, if you ask within 14 days of purchase and we cannot get the words to a place you can stand behind. Chargebacks filed without contacting us first may delay help.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is.” We do not warrant that drafts will be error-free, that the site will always be available, or that using the tools will produce any particular toast. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost data on your device or how your speech is received.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or fifty US dollars if you have not paid.

Privacy

How we handle information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.
